At Movable Roots, we pride ourselves on having a dedicated and skilled team, and our newest member, Christopher B., is no exception. Though he’s only been with us for three months, Christopher has quickly become an integral part of our team, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a contagious enthusiasm for his work.
Christopher joins us as a Tiny Home Lead Carpenter and Framer, roles he excels in thanks to his many years in the home building industry. His expertise and passion for construction are evident from the moment he steps onto the job site. We’re thrilled to have found such a talented individual—or perhaps he found us! Either way, it’s a perfect match.
Every day, Christopher arrives with a smile and a positive attitude, ready to tackle the day's challenges. His excitement for his work is infectious, and his excellent playlists have become a staple in the workplace, with Nikki vouching for his impeccable music taste.
When asked about his experience at Movable Roots so far, Christopher had this to say: “Working for a tiny home builder is totally different than any other job. I'm having a lot of fun and learning something new every day.” This enthusiasm and willingness to learn make him a perfect fit for our dynamic and innovative environment.
One of Christopher's favorite aspects of working at Movable Roots is the team itself. He appreciates being surrounded by responsible adults who are committed to making the best out of every situation. This camaraderie and mutual respect contribute to a productive and enjoyable work atmosphere.
Outside of work, Christopher is an avid birdwatcher, fisherman, and golfer—hobbies that keep him connected to nature and provide a relaxing counterbalance to his professional life. Some of the team members even join him for a round of golf after work. However, nothing is more important to Christopher than spending quality time with his family.
When it comes to tools of the trade, Christopher values his hands the most, a testament to his skill and craftsmanship. He also mentioned Mark, a colleague you'll hear more about next week, as another crucial "tool" in his work. His favorite project so far has been the Alameda gooseneck, a build that showcases his exceptional abilities and attention to detail.
