Oscar's Place

Oscar's Place Volunteer Center and Mobile Offices

We were honored to partner with Oscar's Place Donkey Rescue, a nonprofit donkey rescue located in Hopland, California, to design and build a new volunteer center, a double mobile office and a single mobile office to support their growing operations. 

Although Oscar's Place is nearly 3000 miles from our Melbourne, Florida fcility, distance was never a barrier. They chose Movable Roots not only for our craftsmanship, but for our ability to custom design and build functional, purpose-driven spaces tailored to the unique needs of their organization. 

Working closely with Ron and the Oscar's Place Team, we collaborated to design spaces that support daily operations, volunteer coordination, and administrative needs. Throughout the build process, the Oscar's Place Team relied on detailed photos, videos, email communications, and our client app to track progress and stay connected every step of the way. 

The work being done at Oscar's Place is truly impactful, and we are proud to have played a small role in supporting their mission through these custom built units. We hope these new spaces help further their efforts to rescue, rehabilitate, and care for donkeys in need.
